Introduction into the Academic Staff of the Drama School

Prof. Emeritus Lea Tormis (theatre history) is a theatre researcher.

Prof. Elmo Nügagen (acting and directing) is the artistic director of Tallinn City Theatre; known primarily by his well esteemed productions of classics, such as William Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet" and "Hamlet", Anton Chekhov's "Pianola or The Mechanical Piano", Feodor Dostoevsky's "Crime and Punishment" etc.

Associate Prof. Anu Lamp (voice and speech, dramatist's work) is an actress and the Head of Literary Department (dramaturge) of Tallinn City Theatre.

Associate Prof. Anne Türnpu (voice and speech, acting) is a director, known especially for her productions of folklore.

Associate Prof. Andres Ots (voice and speech) is an actor of Tallinn City Theatre.

Associate Prof. Martin Veinmann (voice and speech) is an actor of Estonian Drama Theatre since 1972. He has also written a book on voice and speech, "The Need to be Understandable" (2001). 

Associate Prof. Laine Mägi (movement and dance) is an actress of Estonian Drama Theatre and a dance pedagogue, leading her private dance school in Pärnu.

Associate Prof. Jüri Nael (movement and dance) is a well-known Estonian choreographer. He received his MA on European Dance Theatre Practice from the LABAN Centre of City University London and continues his studies there on PhD level. He is also the Associate Professor of Dance Composition of Tallinn University.

Associate Prof. Maret Mursa Tormis (MSTAT) (Alexander technique) graduated from Alexander Techinque Institute of Finland in 1999 and has additionally educated herself in several masterclasses. Recently she published an article "The Use of Conscious Inhibition in the Work of a Performing Artist" in "The Alexander Journal" no 25.

Associate Prof. Riina Roose (vocal ensemble) is the Head of Music Department of Tallinn City Theatre.

Lecturer Anu Aimla (solo singing) is a singer.

Lecturer Liina Jääts (theatrical history) is theatre researcher and editor.

Lecturer Kärt Tomingas (acting) is an actress and a singer.
